【Product properties】
Industrial Sodium Chlorate tastes salty and cool, has a relative density of 2.490 and a melting point of 255°C. Easily soluble in ethanol, liquid ammonia and glycerol. It easily decomposes and releases oxygen when heated to above 300°C. The oxidizing power is very low in neutral or weakly alkaline solutions, but it is a strong oxidizing agent in acidic solutions or in the presence of induced oxidants and catalysts (such as ammonium sulfate, copper sulfate, yellow blood salts, etc.). It reacts with acids (such as sulfuric acid) to release chlorine dioxide. It has extremely strong oxidizing power and can easily cause combustion and explosion when mixed with sulfur, phosphorus and organic matter or impacted. It is deliquescent and can absorb water vapor to form a solution in air with high humidity.
[Product Uses]
Mainly used in pulp bleaching, chlorite and perchlorate manufacturing in the paper industry. It is also used as herbicide, oxidant, medicine, printing and dyeing, metal products, uranium ore processing and other fields.
[Packaging, Storage and Transportation Precautions]
Industrial Sodium Chlorate is packed in woven bags lined with plastic bags, 50kg/bag.
Sodium Chlorate is a first-class inorganic chlorinating agent and should be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry special warehouse, and be protected from moisture. It is not allowed to be stored and mixed with oil, charcoal and other organic matter, reducing agents, nitrates, acids and all flammable products. Prevent friction and impact.
